A) The owners are local residents who have lived on the Treasure Coast for many years and are avid fisherman and boaters.
                                                    A) The designer of the hull has spent the last 17 years in the Catamaran industry and is credited with thousands of boats in use today, both commercial and recreational. The interior layout was a collaboration of recreational boaters, serious fisherman, as well as tournament professionals who are presently at the top of the ranks of the Southern Kingfish Association (SKA). A Marine Design Engineer was consulted to put the
finishing touches on the running surface and a Marine Structural Engineer formulated the lamination schedule.
                                                                                       A) All of the wood was removed from the lamination schedule. Three layers of multi-directional knitted and stitched fabrics were added to the hull which significantly reduced the weight of the hull while adding additional strength. The inside radius of the tunnel was softened and the tunnel volume was increased. The sub-floor cavities were eliminated so each sponson could be filled entirely with closed cell foam flotation. Foam stringers were added to the gunnels for unsurpassed rigidity and the gunnel freeboard inside the cockpit was raised for added safety. The center console was redesigned with a large side entry door for easy access to the head (potty), built in cooler and panoramic dash for electronics. The fuel capacity was increased to 150gals. (350gals. on the 33') Even the trailer was redesigned for maximum carrying capacity and ease of loading.
                                             A) Each AMERACAT is custom built to the owners specifications including seating, hull colors, rod holder location, baitwells, fish boxes, T-Top and more. This will allow more flexibility in the design of your boat so it will be set up for fishing, diving, cruising or a combination of all three.
                                                                                                     A) The design of our hull along with the lighter weight requires far less horsepower than a comparable sized V hull or other catamaran. Having less wetted surface area and the lift generated by the tunnel allows the boat to slice through the water with little effort. Our hull will even plane on one engine.
